Exploring User Perception of AI-Generated Content Labels on Short-Form Video Platforms

In this study, I investigated how users perceive and engage with AI-generated content labels on short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Using eye-tracking technology and think-aloud protocols, I observed participants' gaze behavior across different label placements, then followed up with semi-structured interviews to capture qualitative insights.
Through thematic analysis, I identified key trends around trust, label visibility, and user awareness. Findings revealed that label placement significantly affects credibility judgments and user engagement. This research contributes to more effective transparency strategies for platforms combating misinformation.
